Our Terms and Conditions

Membership at Groovers Dance is committed by completing all sections of the membership form, accepting the terms and conditions, and submitting to Groovers dance alongside setting up a monthly standing order.

  1. Payment:

    1. Groovers Dance offers two try out classes before committing to membership, pay as you go (£5 per class) Only applies to new members only.

    2. Pay Monthly: Rolling monthly contract with the option to cancel any time by emailing (grooversdance@outlook.com) with 30 days’ notice. If for any reason, there is another lockdown this will not apply.

    3. If you have booked a Groovers Dance camp, then payments will be taken by bank transfer to Groovers Business bank account with a deadline to pay once invoiced.

    4. If for any reason classes are unable to take place by the decision of Groovers management, due to hall cancellation or any other reason this will either be refunded or carried over.

    5. Once your membership with Groovers Dance is in place you will receive a confirmation email detailing your membership and providing you with links our latest Terms & Conditions.

    6. Membership Fees must be paid into the Groovers Dance bank account and set up as a standing order, details will be included on the membership form.

    7. Fees for additional classes, If your child is taking part in extra classes with Groovers Dance due to shows etc, this will be on a pay as you go basis.

  2. Groovers Class Fees and Payments

    1. All Groovers Dance fees must be paid from the start date of membership.

    2. Groovers members will not be allowed to take part in any dance classes until the membership is set up.

  1. Pay Monthly Class Fees and Payments

    1. The notice period for cancellation is 30 days and you can cancel any time. This does not include a National Lockdown.

    2. The Pay Monthly price is calculated at £5 per class and in a result of a 5-week month classes will total to £4 each. The monthly set fee is £20 (per child) which will be set up as a standing order. However, if you have siblings attending Groovers a small discount will be discussed and applied.

    3. We will notify you of any changes to the monthly amount at least 30 days before it is due to change.

    4. Regrettably Dancers will not be able to participate in any dancing classes if monthly payments have been missed

  2. Payment of fees:

    1. There is no deposit required at Groovers Dance to become a member.

    2. We will need a completed membership form and proof that a standing order has been set up which will come out the week you begin your membership with Groovers Dance.

    3. Unfortunately, no payments are accepted with American Express.

  3. Pay Monthly Cancellation:

    1. You can cancel your Monthly Membership anytime, please be aware all Pay Monthly plans are subject to 30 days’ notice.

    2. If any credits are overdue after cancelling, a payment can be made on the member’s last class.

  4. Missed Classes

    1. No refunds will be given for any missed classes.

    2. Missed classes are unable be rolled over to the following class/month due to expenses.

    3. Class times may change by the decision of management.

  5. Force Majeure

    1. Groovers Dance is unable to refund for any cancelled or missed classes due to a Force Majeure Event. A Force Majeure refers to any event beyond our reasonable control including and without limitation, acts of God, interruption of power or other utility, acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, explosion, flood, accident, earthquake or other catastrophe, fire, notifiable disease, war or riot.

    2. Groovers Dance will not be liable to customers should they fail to perform their obligations of this membership as a result of a Force Majeure Event. Groovers Dance will provide written notice to all customers and all closures will be effective immediately.

  6. Coaches

    1. Groovers Dance engages freestyle based coaches with the CEO holding a Level 3 Sports Coaching Diploma to help children develop their confidence in dance.

  7. Duty of care, safety & conduct

    1. Groovers Dance provides for the safety and care of students whilst on the premises.

    2. Groovers Dance aims to take reasonable care to ensure their acts of omissions do not cause reasonable foreseeable injury to students.

    3. Groovers Dance will not accept responsibility for student’s safety outside the premises.

    4. Groovers Dance and its service providers attempt to minimise any risk of personal injury within practical boundaries; however accidents do happen and all physical activities carry the risk of personal injury.

    5. All Groovers students and guardians acknowledge that while every care and safety measure will be taken, there is an inherent risk of personal injury in physical activities that will be undertaken in our hall as part of the programme and accept that risk.

  8. Damages

    1. The signatory will be financially responsible for any damage against Groovers venues and equipment. The signatory may have to pay for repairs. 

  9. Responsibility

    1. Groovers Dance will not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after dance classes.

    2. The student and their guardian are responsible for their personal belongings and property whilst left on the premises.

    3. The student and their guardian shall make no claim adversely impacting, causing hardship or undue stress on Groovers as a result of their actions.

  10. Photos and videos

    1. We will take photos of students in class which may be used for advertising purposes to be used on social media, websites and print. We will only ever use photos of your child provided we have your prior consent, by signing are photo consent form this gives us permission.

    2. By signing Groovers Dance photo release form ensures that your child can have photos and videos taken in class.

    3. You may withdraw consent at any time by written notice to management.

  11. Class and Camp

    1. Due to distraction to students and hall space, guardians are unable to watch classes.

    2. Groovers is a no nut dance club due to allergies, when attending a dance class or dance camp, under no circumstances are any foods containing nuts allowed on the premises.

  12. Data Protection 

    1. All data collected, will be kept in a safe and secure place. 

    2. We will continue to update our website privacy. 

  13. Breach of Terms and Conditions

    1. Pupils will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of Groovers terms and conditions or for any other serious misconduct.
